T4RIF

I have T4RIF form that was generated when I closed an existing account with Investors Group and moved the money over to TD bank. I have entered the RIF amount into the program but I do not know where to enter the deposit into the TD bank to offset the T4RIF from Investors.

To claim an RRSP transfer from a private pension plan or existing RRSP or RRIF: 

• enter the income amount in the slip you received it from (T4, T4A, T4RSP, or T4RIF)
• also enter the transferred amount as an RRSP contribution.

TurboTax will then recognize this as a transfer will allow the entire RRSP contribution.
