I have a long list of additions in Class 8 for CCA related to a rental property. Can I enter a total amount for these additions on one line with a generic description (furniture and other) or am I required to itemize each amount in the inputs? What level of details goes to the CRA with the submission of the tax return for these assets?
Yes. If you are adding more than one item to a given class, you can combine these entries into a single entry. For example, if you purchased a desk, chair, and appliances, enter the total purchase price as a single class 8 entry.
