Tuition transfer not working for self-employed version

Hi,

I have tuition amount that turbotax has calculated that I can carry forward to next year but it is not giving me an option to transfer it to my spouse. It says the maximum amount I can transfer is $0. 

Am I missing something? How can transfer the amount?

Does your spouse owe any taxes? Your spouse won't be able to use the tuition transfer if they are already getting a refund.
