TurboTax is giving me 2 warning messages. One says Confirm if the EI payment in box 18 on your T4 slip is correct. It looks like you entered a significant EI contribution.
The second warning says Your CPP or EI overpayment is over $750.00. Please verify your information slips and all related entries.
I have verified that my data entries on my T4 slip is accurate. I have deleted the T4 slip and reentered all the data on the new slip. I have checked the CPP and EI overpayment entries on the T1 general form and they are correct. They are both under $30, as stated on my T4 slip.
Why is Turbotax giving me these warnings of very large EI overpayment entries when the T1 general form is showing they are correct as stated on the T4 slip? How do I fix this warning?
