After using Turbo Tax CD since 2012, a decision was made to go with Turbo Tax Online for 2020. In recent weeks, I have encountered numerous issues with the product as it falls short when it comes to dealing with "involuntary separation" and filing returns separately.
Contrary to information provided by CRA, the T5007 amounts are automatically allocated to the individual with the higher income by the online product. In order to have the T5007 amounts allocated to each return, one must enter an amount lower than net income for a spouse when prompted. This causes issues elsewhere as a Schedule 2 is created and the amounts transferred from spouse are incorrect.
Are there any plans for Turbo Tax to deal with the situation before the April 30 tax deadline? If not, I will do both returns manually or with another product.

I did contact your phone line last year and they could not assist. I did the returns manually. Not a good product!
