Why is my return so low compared to 2013?

last year my return refund was appx. 4K, this year a little over 400.00, I'm making lot less (EI & f/t Student) nothing else has changed. Why is it soooo little?

There are many possibilities why.
The bottom line is that last year you paid the rest of us $4000 more than you needed to!
In other words, $4000 was over deducted from your income sources. Thank you.

This year you are in way better shape. It is NOT a good thing to get a tax rebate at all.
Keep as much money as you can upfront.
