Can I claim the tutoring services under disability support payments instead of claiming it under medical expenses?

We already have disability tax credit certificate on file.  I cannot claim it as medical expense because the total amount spent was less than the 3% of my annual income.  Can I claim this under disability support payments instead?

Yes. You can claim tutoring services that are additional to the primary education of someone with a learning disability or an impairment in mental functions. The amount must be paid to a person in the business of providing these services, who can’t be related to the person receiving the tutoring. A medical practitioner must certify in writing that these services are needed.

FYI: Only the person with the disability can claim expenses for disability supports.
