    I WANT to claim my donations fro this year (2015), Turbotax is automatically carrying them forward.

    I WANT to claim my donations fro this year (2015), Turbotax is automatically carrying them forward.

    The donations credit is a non-refundable tax credit.  If you have no tax to pay, the software will carry them forward as they will not increase a refund.  This credit only serves to reduce some tax payable.
