I have orthotics and for many years they were covered under my employers supplemental health plan. Now I am retired they are not covered under the retirement plan. Can I claim orthotics as a medical expense?
Orthotics are considered an assistive device and are deductible. You will need a prescription or letter from a doctor specifying that the devices are required.
