Why on my tax return, the Total amount on Medical Expenses Worksheet (pdf version) is different from the sum of all listed expenses? Example 1+1+1=2 instead of 3. Bug?

When reviewing the online version of my return medical expenses are summed up correctly (1+1+1=3) but on the PDF version of my return the Medical Expenses Worksheet page shows the same transactions as the online version of the return, but the Total on PDF version of the return is different (1+1+1=2).

The most common reason for this is that there's an entry that falls outside the specified 12 month period for claiming medical expenses. Return to the medical expenses section and confirm that a) the 12 month period that has been selected is the one you need and b) all of your medical receipts are listed with dates within that 12 month period.
