@JonathanJ We are delighted to share that the Self-Employed Expense section is updated and available, you will now be able to resume preparation of your return from where you left off and proceed to enter your business-related expenses.

Self-expense claiming will be available at tax season opening on February 19th at 6 a.m. EST.

In intuit online software , i am entering home office expense for self employed. however its not showing correctly. the amount is shown under : amount to carry forwards.

 

i dont want carry forward these. why is it showing under amount to carry forward???

The amount that can be deducted for business-use-of-home expenses can't be more than your net income from the business before you deduct these expenses - you can't use these expenses to increase or create a business loss.
