2024 Capital losses

After recording information in the T5008 and RL18 tax slips, the capital losses from June 25, 2024 to December 31, 2024 are not being captured in the Quebec schedule G. This is happening with the TurboTax 20 product.

Please make sure that on the T5008 you have put in a percentage at the top of the form.

Also make sure that you've updated TurboTax, as a new update has just been released.

2024 Capital losses

Hi,

The recommended solutions to put percentages and ensuring latest TurboTax update were both done prior to my post. The software for TurboTax 20 Returns is NOT capturing the capital losses of shares sold between June 25 to December 31, 2025 within the Quebec tax return. All data was entered correctly in the T5008 slip. Please advise. Thanks.

According to Revenu Quebec, Schedule G will be available on January 31, 2025. This may be the reason why you don't see the T5008/RL 18 info in your Schedule G. You can consult this information on this link.

We suggest you to make sure all your Releves for your Quebec return are properly entered and, as soon as Revenu Quebec send us the finalized Schedule, TurboTax will be updated.

If after January 31st the issue persist and your software is updated, we suggest you to contact Product support team and report it. They will be able to screenshare with you and investigate, if needed.

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

Hi,

You had indicated that Revenu Quebec, Schedule G will be available on January 31, 2025. As of today February 4, 2025 no update is available. Any news? Thanks.
