No, I ended up having to print the return out and mail it. The return was accepted by CRA with no issue.
The issue is with Turbotax's validation logic at the NETFILE step. If you want claim this benefit, you are likely forced to print/mail.

You have 3 options: | ||
• Recommended: Correct the error and then try NETFILE again.
Please note: You only have 5 attempts to NETFILE your return before the CRA will lock you out.
If the problem persists, please contact TurboTax Customer Support for assistance.
• Write down these error message codes: 561, 561, 561, NA, NA. Then, contact TurboTax Customer Support for assistance.
• If you don't want to update your return, print and mail it to the CRA. |
I found a solution that worked for me. I was claiming too much! Briefly looking at my Notice of Assessment, I saw the number 500 and tried to claim that. Turns out that was how much I claimed last year.
You are entitled to 250 each year, I changed my total to 250 and it worked like a charm!
I tried this and my return was still rejected. Dropped $500 from my NOA 2022 to $250 for the correct amount, but still got the same error. I expect I will have to mail it and find better tax software!
Any other solutions?
I received the same error 561 and the first option also applied to me where I do not live in the Yukon. I checked and rechecked all the numbers as well, which worked out perfectly, but am still receiving the error that I cannot Netfile. I was eligible for $500 training credit, which I entered based on my 2021 Notice of Assessment. Based on this forum, I didn't even waste my time contacting Turbotax and just printed and mailed it all to submit ti to CRA. It's unfortunate that with this many people reporting the same issue that Turbotax has not fixed this coding issue.
You need to enter the amount given to you on your 2021 NOA.
I'm getting an identical error, and after spending nearly an hour with customer help, no one seems able to assist, so apparently, I have to mail it in or take it off my return.
I use Turbo Tax so I DON'T have to mail it in, and I paid a little extra to get my full return with confidence. I am now feeling more than a little ripped off, and I won't be using the service next year.
"You need to enter the amount given to you on your 2021 NOA."
This doesn't change anything, I'm sad to say. Entering in this amount, and after having everything expert-checked, I still cannot NETFILE submit.
this is still happening... same error on my sisters return. :(
This is still happening and nothing fixes it. Super annoying but glad I found this!
