I tried to file my parents' tax return and got error code 35. No, there is nothing to do with bankruptcy or pre-bankruptcy involved. I called Turbotax and three agents were unable to help. I was told to do the returns again and try to file, and that I would not be charged again. I was charged again. You have to pay before you can see if the return will work. It didn't. Still code 35. I even manually filled in all the forms the second time around.
Called Turbotax again. The agent said there are no refunds for the online version. I googled while he was on the phone. Found the form to ask for a refund. He emailed the form.
Of course I can't get through to CRA. Of course my dad's account was locked because I tried five times.
Nope. not if you get the ones I got. Seriously, use your search engine.
Did you verify that your Name and Address entered on TurboTax matched what CRA has on file for you?
