Hello all,
I tried to refile my 2023 tax, and it was unsuccessful for 5 times. I got this error message:
Message from the CRA:
CRA Result Code: 615
Your account is locked. If you need assistance, please contact us.
Actually, I can still login to my CRA account without any problem. However, I am unable to sent my refile anymore since it shows my CRA account is "Locked".
I genuinely value your input on this issue. Please let me konw what I should do next.
Regards,
Jimmy
NETFILE is separate from CRA My Account. If your NETFILE account is locked, you will need to contact the CRA to get it unlocked.
But what does error code 615 mean?
birthdate error?
The error code means that you attempted more than 5 times to NetFile your income tax return and it locked you out. You will need to contact the CRA at 1 (800) 959-8281 to unlock your account for you.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
Error message:CRA Result Code 615. Your account is locked.
I have been trying to refile my 2024 return since April and I’m still getting the 615 error code : I have had 5 attempts to NETFILE which failed.
I called the CRA whose advice is to have the cache browser history cleared which I’ve done and tried to refile through NETFILE again. All attempts have failed.
I have mailed my amended return to the CRA with a cheque of a balance owing but the CRA account does not show my amended return.
Can TurboTax help?
@Williamjohnfitzpatrick If the CRA has unlocked your NETFILE/ReFile account but it's still showing as locked, please try using another browser to ReFile your return. Alternative, you can try using the TurboTax Mobile app - use your same login info to see your TurboTax Online returns. Please note that if you see the locked message, that means that there is an error somewhere is the return, or that you are trying to RefIle something that can't be adjusted through ReFile, and you've tried too many time to send it. Please make sure to review your return before trying again.
You also don't need to ReFile a spouse's return if nothing has changed for them.
As for any T1-ADJ T1 Adjustment Requests sent by mail, The CRA is experiencing delays in processing T1 adjustment requests. Depending on what you changed, it could take some time before your request is processed by them.
