My tax file currently says it is "in progress" I am not sure if that means my file is in the process of being reviewed or if I have no fully completed it.

If you NetFiled your return, you would have received a confirmation number advising that it was accepted by CRA. Click on the top right where it says "Find" type in "Review" and you will see if it was filed.
