On Schedule 3, indicate if you disposed of a property that was owned for less than 365 days.
I received the same error when NETFILING, used one of the users advice went to Schedule 3 and said No to the question if I sold the property within less than 365 days.... and the Warning went away..., I had to do it for both myself and my husband
I was concerned a lot since neither of us has any Tax slip T3 or T5
Thank you from the bottom of our heart to the user who suggested that !!!!
I received a warning while filing our taxes: "On Schedule 3, indicate if you disposed of a property that was owned for less than 365 days." However, my husband and I don’t own any property. Both of our returns were submitted with this error. My husband received his Express NOA, but I haven’t received mine. Do we need to fix the issue for both and refile, or should we wait for the CRA to review it?
@piol70 Schedule 3 is still locked by CRA and not finalized by CRA yet. Please refer to this link Why does TurboTax say my forms are locked or haven't been finalized?
We do not have any ETA on this yet but as soon a these forms gets finalize we will be updating them in TurboTax for accurate calculations.
We appreciate your patience.
This schedule 3 issue is confusing!
The property disposal warning came up when net filing. It was blank, so I answered no.
Now I am locked out of filing due to CRA working on the form...
Shouldn't answering NO clear this hurdle?
Seems as though leaving blank is a better option.
@shotgun15 If you are using TurboTax Desktop and have a return that has no capital gains/losses, please try clearing the unneeded forms and then closing unused forms. You can find those options under Edit>Forms in the top menu.
You can see a list of Forms that still locked here: Why does TurboTax say my forms are locked or haven't been finalized?
We're working hard to finalize these forms to align ourselves with CRA requirements ASAP. We appreciate your patience.
Have cleared the form as suggested, thank you!
Still unclear whether I should re-submit though.
IMO this pop-up should not have occurred as it causes a lot of confusion.
Thanks again,
Brian
@shotgun15 Refile has been turned off until mid next week and will be back. Please note you cannot Refile until you receive a Notice of Assessment from CRA first.
Exact same thing happened to me. Did you solve the issue or just waiting to see what happens?
Turbo Tax flagged the submission, however CRA showed being received fine.
Refund came through per normal timeline.
This Schedule 3 issue is a not so minor annoyance in the end.
@chill2 We are aware of this issue, and our development team is working on a resolution. We appreciate your patience.
