Getting started
If you have bought TurboTax Online, please go to turbotax.ca/activate to use your code before you start your returns. You can see this TurboTax FAQ for step-by-step instructions: In TurboTax Online, how do I use a prepayment code? You can also try using the code in the coupon code section on the payment screen, if you didn't do it before you started.
If you are preparing your returns together and are using TurboTax Online 2024, you can switch between spouses by clicking on the names at the top of the page. That way you can enter info for both spouses.
If you have bought TurboTax Desktop, you will be asked for the licence code when you install the software. You can download the current version of TurboTax Desktop edition here: Choose the current TurboTax Desktop edition you need (for Windows). Please note that the codes for TurboTax Online will not work with TurboTax Desktop & vice-versa.
