Importing your data

Thank you for your suggestion, after I go over all the dates that I entered , one of the dates I mistakenly entered 2026 instead of 2025. Therefore the Netfile return the error message and stop me to submit the return.

I keep getting an error message when filling out the T5008 Securities Transaction portion on Turbotax. I have input the Date of Disposition and box 20 and box 21, but Turbotax does not seem to accept it.

Capital Gains is selected but Turbo Tax does not seem to accept the info so I cannot file 'on line.'

What is the correct date format for t5008

Importing your data

@LKShelton The correct date format for entering T5008 information in TurboTax (Canada) is DD/MM/YYYY.

yes, I tried both ddmmyyyy

and

dd/mm/yyyy

but the date and info on the T5008 form did not seem to remain once I forwarded to the end of my tax form.
