Gifts of capital property - amount not showing as a donation

I made a donation of some stocks (with a capital gain) - i have entered in the amount in the capital gains section (choosing T1170 as the option).  Then when I go to the donations profile and enter in the amount of the capital donations nothing happens.  It doesn't recognize the amount as a donation and it doesn't reduce my taxes payable.  What am I doing wrong?

Any insight?  It is definitely not picking up the donation of the capital property as a donation amount.......

I already contacted them and they were of limited / no help.  I asked for this to be escalated and have yet to hear back from anyone....
