If any income item doesn’t fit anywhere in your return, it belongs on line 13000. Often, a T4A slip will have been issued. Any amount shown in box 130  of a T4A slip will be included on this line.

The following amounts also belong on line 13000

  • Amounts received as an apprenticeship incentive grant;
  • Amounts received as an apprenticeship completion grant;
  • Amounts distributed from a retirement compensation arrangement;
  • Training allowances or similar amounts that are shown in box 028 of a T4A slip that you have received;
  • Payments from a trust shown in box 26 of a T3 slip that you have received;
  • Payments from a registered education savings plan shown in box 040 or box 042 of a T4A slip that you received;
  • Annuity or registered retirement income fund payments are shown in box 024, 133 or 194 of a T4A slip that you received or boxes 16 or 20 of a T4RIF slip that you received (this applies only if you are under 65 and did not receive the amount because your spouse died);
  • Certain payments from tax-free savings account shown in box 134 of a T4A slip that you received;
  • Designated benefits from a RRIF shown in box 22 of a T4RIF slip that you received;
  • A registered pension plan amount is shown in box 018 of a T4A slip that you received (this will apply if you rolled over an amount to a registered disability savings plan);
  • An amount, such as a grant, paid to you as a result of taking time away from work to cope with the death or disappearance of your child because of an offence or probable offence under the Criminal Code shown in box 136 of a T4A slip that you received;
  • Income from a pooled registered pension plan shown in box 194 of a T4A slip that you received (this applies only if you were under 65 years of age and you did not receive this income on the death of your spouse).

Line 130 - Other income contains taxable income not included in other categories. Common sources of other income include scholarships/bursaries, retiring allowances, lump-sum payments, death benefits, and payments from a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP). Box 66 or 67 from your T4 slip would also be considered as Other Income.

This CRA webpage has more information on Line 130 - Other income.
