Open TurboTax
You cannot file more than 20 returns using personal tax software, regardless of how much you are willing to pay. This is a hard limit set by the CRA for all NETFILE-certified software. The 20-return limit is not a TurboTax pricing policy; it is a mandatory requirement set by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
There is no "add-on" or extra fee that allows you to exceed the 20-return limit within the personal versions of TurboTax (Standard, Premier, Home & Business, etc.).
The limit per tax year is 20 returns per device.
Use Professional Software (EFILE): If you are preparing taxes for a fee or as a business, the CRA requires you to register as a tax preparer and use EFILE-certified software. For TurboTax, this would be ProTax (part of QuickBooks Online Accountant) or Profile. These versions do not have the 20-return limit but require a different registration process with the CRA.
Have the Individuals File Separately: If you are helping friends or extended family for free, those individuals can create their own TurboTax Online accounts to file their returns independently.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
Last year it cost me an extra $25 per person or $50 per couple plus tax after I did the 12 returns purchased with original download. As I normally don’t charge people, that don’t qualify under CVITP for doing their taxes, I want to know if intuit is raising their prices for additional returns.
also can I purchase the deluxe and the home and business and run them both on the same program.
Your Basic Statement was incorrect and filled with fallacies.
I’m not looking to spend $3,000 on doing free taxes
If you are using TurboTax Desktop, additional returns with net income less than $25,000 are free. For returns with net income greater than $25,000, the cost is $20.00 per additional return. You can also buy an additional license and use Tools> License Code Switch to enter the second code.
And Aniqua is correct, you can only NETFILE 20 returns per year. You can prepare more returns, but they will need to be printed & mailed. This is true of all personal tax software that uses NETFILE.

Last year they were $56.50 tax included with spousal income of $0 (zero). Nice to see price has dropped.
so are you saying that I can run 2 different versions of Turbo Tax on the same computer? “You can also buy an additional license and use Tools> License Code Switch to enter the second code.”
“you can only NETFILE 20 returns per year” except Ufile. I did over 200 last year. Problem is can only run 1 version on a single computer or I would not need intuit
As per CRA, if you are registered for Represent a Client (RAC) to act on behalf of others, you may file up to 20 returns per computer or CRA account for each tax year. For more information, visit this link.
As per TurboTax website, if you file up to 20 returns with NETFILE, the CRA limits all NETFILE-certified tax preparation software products in Canada to a maximum of 20 returns filed per computer or online account, regardless of your income level. If you are preparing more than 20 returns, you can file with EFILE
