That's perfectly fine; I won't be running Windows 10 past Extended Security Updates anyways.
So just the one year that's ALREADY supported by Microsoft. It's not a slippery slope, just outrageously obvious common sense.
ill be switching to H&R also.
The download page currently has the following statement under system requirements;
"Operating systems
Windows 10 or later (Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 are not supported)
Can someone provide an unambiguous response to the Windows 10 / Windows 11 conundrum?
@JOCAR Yes, TurboTax 2025 is fully compatible with Windows 10. While Intuit and Microsoft recommend Windows 11 for the best security and performance, Windows 10 remains a supported operating system for the 2025 software version.
Minimum Requirement: The baseline requirement is Windows 10 (64-bit).
Unsupported Versions: Older systems like Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 are strictly unsupported, and the software will not install on these platforms.
Selection During Launch: When you launch TurboTax Desktop, you may see recommendations to upgrade to Windows 11, but the software will function correctly on a fully updated version of Windows 10.
For the most current hardware and software specifications, refer to the official TurboTax Canada system requirements: How does the end of support for Windows 10 affect my TurboTax Desktop experience?
