I am a co-owner in a rental property (50/50) & have $5K of rental income to claim. I do not want to take 5K of CCA but my wife does for her share. How do we do this?

In trying to make the adjustments in TT19, albeit the only way I can get the program to record my rental income of 5K and her rental income as 0. Is to double the CCA to 10K in her T776 form.  However, since I am claiming 5K or revenue this should not be how to do this? thank you.

When you are co-owners you need to make sure you put the full amount of rent received and when you enter that you own 50% TurboTax will calculate the amount appropriate for you. Click here to see how to enter your rental income.
