Do I enter my former stepchildren as dependants if I have separated from their mother this past year?
We have separated in September. She has two children with other fathers which I have previously claimed as dependents. Since we separated this past tax year, do I still claim them as dependants or should I remove them since they are no longer my children?

This doesn't help me in the least. As a matter of fact, the whole FAQ you included was the FIRST thing I read before I even submitted this question. I KNOW that my dependents WERE the kids the previous tax year. And this tax year partway through they were no longer my kids. SO.. again ... do I still claim them? And is there a spot where I specify a partial claim for them or not?
