For 2022 I used standard cd/download version of Turbotax. What version should I use for 2023 to ensure all data of prior years is carried forward
For 2021 I used an Online version- so for 2022 it was a big problem to re-enter baseline demographic data, and no ready comparatives of year/year on line items was available. I want to be sure I buy the cirrect version for 2023 - whether its the cd/ down load OR the online version

You can't transfer info from TurboTax Online into TurboTax CD/Download, but you can transfer from CD/Download into Online. So if you used CD/Download last year, you can use either version of the software.
If you want to look at forms and worksheets, then you would need to use TurboTax CD/Download.
