T5013 - Box 117 – Gross Canadian and foreign rental income - To be able to enter in line 160 of the T1 which is referring to the T776 - Statement of Real Estate Rentals form this can be accessed through the Income tab - Rental Properties and start from there.
You always enter the accurate % of partnership whenever/wherever needed.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
Could you provide more instructions on filing box 117?
@ExtraBlurry Are you using TurboTax CD/Download or TurboTax Online?
Online.
Do I have to file this for my tax? I googled and it says it's a tax form and not a tax return.
If you have line 117 on your T5013 slip, please enter the amount in the rental income section.
T5013 doesn't have Box 117 in TurboTax 2024 but it brings it back to T5013-2 when I tried to enter the Gross Income into Summary of Real Estate Rentals. I did not see line 160 in T776. Did line 160 change to a different box number? If so, what is now? Please help. Thank you.
FYI, I did enter Box 107 (limited partner's rental income/loss) onto T5013 in TT. Do I still need to enter Box 117 (gross Canadian and foreign rental income) in TT?
@jk-033 Box 117 is gross Canadian and foreign rental income. As per CRA, you must enter this amount on line 12599 of your T1 return. You will have to fill out a T776 form and we recommend you make sure all income and expenses are in Canadian dollars.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
