Did you renovate for personal use, or to create a rental space? Which province are you in?

Yes it was for personal use.  Ontario is my province.

On the Federal side, you can’t claim renovations to a personal home unless they improve access for persons with disabilities.

On the Ontario side, there used to be a renovation credit for seniors, but this was eliminated after 2016.
