I am employed as a lawyer at a law firm but the firm does not pay for CPD courses. A specific number of CPD hours are required annually to maintain the professional license which is necessary to provide legal services and practice law. The employer is willing to sign a Form T2200.
Yes, you sure can. To apply these professional development courses to your tax return, go into "FormsView" - click on Tslips - then Receipts - then Unions Dues. In "Easy Step" - Deductions & Credits tab - Payments Profile - see screenshots attached.
PS: Keep all receipts for your records, including the T2200 from your employer.
