Advertisement and Promotions - Employment expenses

Turbotax is not including the amount I entered in advertisements and promotions when I enter it under commissioned employee expenses. I have commission income that I entered in my T4, I am not self-employed. However the amount is not being added to my employment expenses in the summary. If I enter that amount into another box under commissioned employee expenses such as accounting, the amount shows up. When I called turbo tax customer service, they had no answers. Why am I not allowed to enter this amount when the CRA says I can claim it in my T777.

Depending on which boxes you have an amount in on your T4 it will determine if CRA considers you as self-employed.

Please verify what the CRA says about Employee or Self-employed?
