BUG ON JAN 2026 UPDATE: T5008 data not populating to T1 immediately after update, causing error in tax owing

The latest update has totally broken the data I entered. The data is in the T5008 slip but it does not populate to the main fields. When i updated the app, the total tax showed 0.000! then it failed to populate capital gains from the slips. 

It only finally populated the T5008 slip capital gain to the T1 after manually clicking on the T5008 number that was already in the slip from before the update again. Then it held. Can you imagine a taxpayer upgrading the software and if they don't click on the value to update it their final tax owing is incorrect?

What type of slips do you have? If it's the T5008, do they all have the type of income & Date of Disposition entered? Is the data showing on the Schedule 3 and not the T1 or is it missing from both?

I didn't check the schedule 3 but it was missing from the T1 , but was in my t5008 slip entry.

This all occurred after the latest turbotax in-line update. Prior to this all the data was correct.

I did however go to the T5008 slip and clicked enter , even though the amounts were correct and it updated the T1 so that was fixed, but how can a user have to do this after an update? If he doesn't do that, his tax return is massively wrong?

As you can see from the "DRAFT" message on all the forms, the forms are not finalized yet. So, this means that there might be changes between now and when the finalized versions of the forms are released.
