YES. ME TOO, exactly the same situation. I will refile mine. On 7.11 difference, but let's try to keep things in hand.
Has a fix been done for this, do not want to try netfile again as will get locked out.
@JRH58 For the error on the T3 slip not balancing box 52+53 to equal box 21A, trying to enter the sum of 52+53 into box 53 (deleting 52) should fix the problem.
That doesn't work. it only fixes the problem of error message of box 52+53 not equal box 21
however the the information in T3 doesn't know populate to T936 as OP stated and there is still a problem to netfile the return.
this becomes a joke already where you say something as the representative of Turbotax same as the early email that i received however that doesn't fix the problem whatsoever.
The fix worked aniqua! Thank you so much for your hard work I’m sure being a moderator can be a pretty thankless job at times!
Hello
has the error been fixed? i have split the T3 cap gains 10% me, 90% my husband. i cant file and the numbers do not appear correctly on schedule 3. please advise. thank you
Hi All
I know this has been very frustrating. I have the same issue and got locked out. Spoke to a very friendly CRA agent.
CRA and the Tax Prep software companies are working this fix. Part of the issue lies with CRA implementing the capital gains change in their system before it was approved by Parliament, so there is a now a rush to walk this back.
I’ve been told that any interest penalties as a result of late filings will be waived if it relates to this issue specifically. It doesn’t help those that are in a refund position and looking for their money.
I would urge everyone to be patient as they sort this mess out. It will also save you refilling spousal returns as the software is not allocating 50% as it should.
@wjcookTry this workaround: enter 100% ownership at the top and then half of all values into boxes, for each person. (I also only entered capital gains in box 53, using the same value as line 21, half the total, instead of dividing the time periods.).
Then the values for line 68140 on T936 were correct and agreed with Schedule 3 line 17600, and I could NETFILE both returns.
Thank you Antiqua, however, i only want 10% and my husband 90%...will i need to recalculate all of the values on the T3 to represent new values or only the cap gains?
