We are aware of this issue and working with the CRA on a resolution. Currently we don't have any ETA. Once it is resolved, we will update you in this thread. We appreciate your patience.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
Just checking to see when error code 95365 will be corrected the issue has been known about for a while. Will in be fixed prior to tax submission dead line at the end of the month and will Turbo tax come good for costs the CRA may impose for late submission of taxes due to the programing issues.
I just receive an email from Turbo Tax around 8:28pm this evening with the subject: Update: CRA system errors may be affecting your ability to file. In this email, it provided daily updates here about resolutions and workarounds for the CRA system errors. When I clicked the link, there is an section for Error Code 95365 below:
Error issue: There are entries for capital gains on T3 information slips and CRA has indicated that there may be a rounding issue.
Customer action: For all T3 slips in your return: - Remove the amount from Box 52, if applicable (leave it blank) - Enter the sum of Box 52 + Box 53 in Box 53 - Ensure Box 53 equals the amount in Box 21 If the error persists, try rounding the box amounts (21 and 53) to the nearest dollar and submit via NETFILE once more. Try filing after April 7, 2025.
Expected resolution date: Adjustments were made to the production system on April 7, 2025 to address erroneous instances of this error code due to rounding issues.
However, I don't think the solution provided by Turbo Tax above works. I have been trying the same solution above many times since April 2nd. The results is still the same with Error code 95365 when I did the NETFILE today. I don't know the reason Turbo Tax claimed this error code 95365 has been resolved as of April 7th. it's not true.
I don't know how the Turbox Tax software codes are written. But the issue is that after I entered the both box 21 and 53 as integer for form T3, the amount on form 936 Line 68140 is still zero. It should be the same amount as box 21 (or box 53) of T3. Apparently, the error has existed in the amount of Turbo Tax form 936 itself before NETFILE. It seems obvious to me that it is Turbo Tax software errors.
I doubt this is the problem with CRA system issue only, unless this amount is determined by CRA system.
Is this error still expected to be resolved by April 14th?
Thanks

Neither of these fixes worked worked for me. NETFILE did not accept my filing with these fixes and still gave me the same 95365 error. Since CRA seemed to deem the matter resolved I had to try something else.
The following worked for me:
If the Total capital gains (or net capital loss) for 2024 on line 19900 (line 23) of Schedule 3 is a net capital loss of even 1 cent then lines 68140 and 68150 on Form T936 will not populate properly. If line 19900 of Schedule 3 is a positive number then lines 68140 and 68150 on Form T936 will populate properly and you will not get the 95365 error upon filing.
So what I did was modify a number on one of my T5008 capital losses such that I had a $0.01 total capital gain on line 19900. (You could instead change a number on the Schedule 3 in the 'publicly traded shares, mutual funds etc..' area). This allowed the lines 68140 and 68150 to populate and I was able to NETFILE successfully. I chose $0.01 so that I won't have to pay any extra taxes on capital gains. Unfortunately now I have to file a correction for my T5008 in order for my net capital losses to accurately represent my T5008 information.
So there still seems to be some kind of an error in the TurboTax software.
The CRA error message 95365 needs Schedule 3 line 17600 to link to T936 line 68140. This is still not working for a husband/wife returns where only the husband has T3 capital gains. Capital gains are reported on T3 box 21 and box 53 and reported as 100% for the taxpayer. Anybody have a workaround for this one?
@Snoopy628 Thanks for pointing out the finding: if the Total capital gains (or net capital loss) for 2024 on line 19900 (line 23) of Schedule 3 is a net capital loss of even 1 cent then lines 68140 and 68150 on Form T936 will not populate properly. This applies to my situation.
Since my capital loss is large enough, the works around you provided will cause too much variance on my capital loss carryforward if I file now with zero capital loss and then refile after code 95356 issue is resolved. I will wait for another one or two weeks. Hopefully this issue will resolve by then.
In addition, CRA has already provided the relief for filing due dates for 2024 tax return for T1 tax return filers with capital gain filing issues until June 2nd, 2025 per below contents. So we have more time remaining for filing NETFILE.
Filing due dates for the 2024 tax return
On March 21, 2025, the Government of Canada announced that it:
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has already reverted to administering the currently enacted capital gains inclusion rate of one-half. Changes to CRA’s systems and the corresponding certification of tax software have been finalized for the reporting of capital dispositions therefore impacted returns can now be submitted and processed.
The CRA will grant relief in respect of late-filing penalties and arrears interest until June 2, 2025, for impacted T1 Individual filers.
The CRA has announced systems tax calculator errors that may affect your ability to file. These errors are affecting all CRA certified tax software across Canada.
TurboTax is in direct contact with senior Government of Canada officials at CRA, underscoring the urgent need for accountability and decisive action to resolve these issues for our customers and all Canadians.

I followed these steps from TurboTax and they worked for me - link

This is absolutely not a fix when you have a capital loss from a T5008, and a capital gain on a T3! This is nothing to do with a rounding problem or a CRA problem. It is a Turbo Tax system defect (as admitted to me by a TurboTax product specialist) and I can only hope it will be resolved by tomorrow as per their several recent announcements.
@mdefoe Thanks for pointing this out. I have a capital loss from a T5008, a capital gain on a T3, and net capital loss on Schedule 3 Line 19900. My suspect that this is Turbo Tax system defect seems to be correct. Turbo Tax
should take the responsibility to fix this system defect. Otherwise, we should request for a refund from Turbo Tax.
