Why doesn't the amount for the climate action incentive show up on my refund amount or my total provincial tax credits summary?

I filled out the section for the climate action incentive, it says I'm eligible and the amount I should receive but when I continue it doesn't change the tax refund amount on the left hadn't side of the page and the amount or even category doesn't show up on the summary page of my total provincial tax credits.

Does it show up on your Detailed Tax Summary? You can check by clicking on 2018 Tax Refund/Owing at the top of the screen (under the numbers), then choose View Detailed Tax Summary. Scroll down to the bottom and look for line 449 under Payments & Credits.

Yes it does. But I don't think it changed my tax refund amount when I entered it.

It's not changing anything, because it is already included in your refund amount.

When you start your return, if you tell TurboTax that you are from a province that has the Climate Action Incentive (CAI) available, then it will automatically put the basic credit on right away. If you go to the CAI page and tell TurboTax that you are not eligible, it will be removed. If you say on the CAI page that you live outside of one of the census metropolitan areas (CMAs), then it will add the extra 10% on.
