Open TurboTax
I imported last year's return, finished entering T4s, and moved onto our farming income/expenses section (T2042). I am using edit, instead of creating a new profile as I have memory problems and it would take me a week to try to get all the information gathered back up. It's having me go through all the information and at the screen where it lists town, province, postal code, and industry code, I get an error every single time I click on "Continue". I can't click on *anything* else in Turbo Tax, it forces me to close it.
I tried shutting down my computer completely, and turning it back on. Not sure what else I can do.
$130 for this junk, I regret buying turbotax every year and every year I fail to find anything better. Ugh.
Please try uninstalling & reinstalling the program using the download from our website. It will not delete any of your saved returns.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
A TT600 error usually means you may have entered something into your return that TurboTax cannot understand or has not been programmed to accept. Examples are: quotation marks, ampersands and other special characters in any fields that accept text, such as your name, address, your dependant’s names, etc.

Yes, I did that by myself and also with technical support on the phone and with screen share. They couldn't figure it out either. I was told many people had the same problem. I would be notified when the problem was fixed. It has been three weeks now. No word from the tech support team.
Also, I was told that it might be CRA side of the problem and it would be fixed by mid March. I keep checking for new updates, but nothing so far. I am really worried about filing late just because I am waiting for that. Everything was prepared by the end of February, but I have invested many hours trying to solve this problem. I have been using turbo tax for years, but in this case, I am ready to give up.
I purchased turbo tax in Costco in January. I am now past 60 day return policy. Because I was told to wait. What can I do to obtain a refund. Or can I get technical support for this issue by April 5th, 2026? Please let me know.
An update that will fix this issue should be released by the end of the week.
