How to Report if a Couple sells their principal residence

They own it as Joint tenants.  Does the disposition get reported on just one of their returns, or both?  If I filed both of the returns showing the full value of the disposition of the same property,  should I file an amendment?

Each individual will have to report the sell of their principal residence.
