I am seperated but why I am asked about dependents income

I am seperated, not living with my kids, but why I am asked about dependents income which hasn't been asked the previous year. The kids always the last day to do their return. It's no way for me to push them. But I want to complete my return as early as possible but I has been stopped at here because dependants income required.

If your children are young and you are adding them as your dependents then you will need to enter the information required for them. If you are not financially supporting  your children then you wouldn't add them to your return and you can simply file for yourself.
