If my wife does not have a SIN number, what do I enter for it?

My wife had been in Canada for over 183 days in 2020, however she is not a Canadian citizen and does not have a SIN number. What do I enter for her SIN number?

We appreciate you choosing TurboTax,

Enter 000-000-000 if the spouse does not have a SIN. Residents of Canada may file their federal tax returns electronically via NetFile. As a Québec resident, you'll need to print and mail the provincial tax return since the spouse does not have a SIN.

(It is recommended that you report yourself as married, with a non-resident spouse and with no income. The spousal credit should not be claimed.)
