Anyone getting error Code#95365 from CRA when trying to Netfile their return. I believe it is a programming error in TurboTax

I am also experiencing the error where the T3 amounts do not appear correctly on T936 and I have a capital loss. It works correctly on my spouse's return which she does not have a capital loss for, so agree that it seems like a bug in the Turbo Tax software.

@DMichaelNP This is not a TurboTax issue. The CRA has confirmed that this issue is affecting all CRA certified tax software.

TurboTax is in direct contact with senior Government of Canada officials at CRA, underscoring the urgent need for accountability and decisive action to resolve these issues for our customers and all Canadians.

To support taxpayers in navigating these CRA errors, the TurboTax Canada blog is being regularly updated with the latest information on NETFILE error codes, CRA-approved workarounds, and expected resolution dates.

Anyone getting error Code#95365 from CRA when trying to Netfile their return. I believe it is a programming error in TurboTax

@TurboTaxAniqua I was up until midnight last night working with a Turbo Tax agent. I even logged a ticket case number [phone number removed]2 to start an investigation, Box 21 on the T3 is not flowing through to from T936 line 68140. After I hung up the agent called me to say that this was a known issue and a fix was going to put through to the Turbo Tax software on April 14th, 2025 to correct the issue.

If this is the case and why would the agent lie to me, Turbo Tax should be up front about this and take ownership of the problem and not try to put the blame on CRA. You replying to the message makes me think either you are lying or misinformed, both options are not a good look for Turbo Tax. I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 30+ years (Quick Tax before Turbo Tax took over Quick Tax) and I am seriously considering moving to another software package next year because of this issue.

@DMichaelNP We acknowledge your frustration, have taken note of your comments, and will forward them to the relevant department.

As mentioned earlier, this is not a TurboTax issue.  The CRA has confirmed that this issue is affecting all CRA-certified tax software. We appreciate your patience.

Listen, I'm sure you're frustrated with people complaining about 95365 as we are complaining about it, but you need to explain how T936 populated correctly last year with capital losses, and does not this year, yet TurboTax claims this is a CRA issue.

Explain to us the core issue. I'm sure if you speak slowly then us peons will be able to understand.

I have read this thread as well as another talking about and complaining about the T3 Line 21 issue.  You have said that this is a CRA problem and that they are working with all of the Tax software companies to rectify it.  While the original issue may have been with the CRA in that they changed the Capital gains rates prior to them being passed into law and then had to backtrack this change, the fact that the TurboTax software does not take a number from the T3 input form and place it where it should be on the T936 is a TurboTax issue.  None of the data has been sent to the CRA yet so.... NOT a CRA Issue.  Will the patch be ready on the 14th as we have been told?

I just downloaded the latest update on April 14th. The issue with the T3 box 21 not transferring into box 68140 on T936 Chart A when a person has capital losses in box 1 Chart A is still not fixed.

Please advise on when this will be fixed.

@TurboTaxAniqua rather than doubling down that the T3 Line Box 21 issue is not populating Form T936 line 68140 is a CRA issue and not a Turbo Tax Software issue contact the people who handle the case numbers logged and investigate this one and let us know when the fix will be posted. I ahve posted the case number but it was removed from my last post, not sure if that was intentional from Turbo Tax or done by accident. Until you do that you have lost all credibility on this message board.

Mine too. Downloaded update, and it's not fixed.

First we were told to wait until Apr 2 for a fix. NOT FIXED.

Then we were told to wait until Apr 14 for a fix. NOT FIXED.

This is unacceptable. What is wrong with this company? Honestly!

WE NEED TO KNOW IF YOU INTEND TO FIX THIS SO WE CAN FILE OUR TAXES WITH THE CRA.
