I am self-employed, how do I reconcile a T4a that has incorrect amounts for the same period

I am self-employed and report income as accrual, how do I reconcile a T4a that has incorrect amounts for the same period?  The T4a is reporting as amounts paid that year, basically reporting billed invoices from Dec 1 2024-Dec 1 2025 while I am reporting Jan1 - Dec 31 2025.

Turbo Tax has a reporting line for T4a (box 48) - do I use the number it should be instead of what's on the T4a?

If your T4A is incorrect, then you should contact whoever issued it to get one with the correct amounts.

As a business I am using the accrual method.   eg: I worked in December (2025) as a contractor and submitted my invoice at the end of the month, I didn't get paid until January 2026.  My income statement will account for the work I billed for in December.  Their books are closed and the T4a reflects only payments made.  They will not be re-issuing a new one.

@wheeler-shaw Unfortunately, you must have it corrected by them. For more information, call the CRA at 1800-959-8281.
