Loss Worksheet Error Entering Net Capital Losses to be carried forward.

There is an error on Line 7 that does not allow a zero entry in Version 00.01.52 Build 5005 068G23.

On page 3 (of 5) on the loss worksheet line 7 allows you to "Enter the amount of losses you want to claim" in the first field. This field will not accept a 0.00 entry that would allow me to carry forward all of my net capital losses from prior years to use in a future year. This field will accept any positive entry from 0.01 up to the value of my net capital losses from prior years. When will this be corrected?

I have forwarded this issue to our development team. Thank you for letting us know.

As you said, the work around is to just put in $0.01 instead of zero.

Now, the default value is 0.00.  I want to enter an amount of loss carried forward but it won’t allow without an override.  Then the NetFile won’t work because of the override.  Good grief.  Calling customer support now.

Was your issue resolved when you called in?

Yes it was resolved by going through the ‘Easy Method’.  I typically use the form method.
