Wrong filing status carried into State tax return- IA, how to fix
Finished Federal and began State taxes only to find that my filing status for the State was changed from married/joint (FED return) to married/separate on the State Return. All the inquiries now are asking for us to separate out items for each spouse. I cannot figure out how to change it on the State form, or if this needs a software fix. State is Iowa.
