No, it is not resolved.
I just tired what was suggested and it did not work.
It works fine until you input the date of death.
Once you do that ,then it zeros out the net capital loss from prior years on line 25300.
And does not take the loss to Schedule 3.
The key here is the inputting the date of death, it triggers the elimination of the net capital of prior years
Considering the previous steps have not helped, we believe your best option is to contact our telephone support team for further assistance, as they have the option to view your screen to help resolve the issue. To contact them, please follow this link: Contact Us. When asked if you wish to receive an email say NO then say "speak to a representative" then hold the line. If a resolution is not reached, please ask for an escalation for the issue to be investigated.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
I am having the same problem also..... I am trying to report sale of principle residence and apply used losses.... i think I am not putting information in the right spots....
@pat1219 What kind of unused losses are you trying to enter? Capital losses?
Please see this TurboTax Canada FAQ for instructions on reporting the sale of your principal residence: How do I report the sale of my home (principal residence)?
Surely would have been nice if he had shared the solution....very strange.
I sent the above reply a bit too quickly - I did not realize I was not at the bottom of the comments - hey I am new here.
I see something did work for someone after clearing out the Loss data and re-entering it. I will try that.
