This year I collected additional income by operating a consulting business outside of my regular full-time employment. Is TurboTax Self-Employed an equal alternative to completing a T2125 form or do I still have to fill out a separate formal T2125 on my own?
Also, my tax situation is so simple, that 95% of this form is blank. First year of business, small supplier, likely not continuing my services, already paid my EI/CPP premiums through my regular employment. I've only included my income and a few small business expenses (no fixed assets). Is that going to be an issue? I can't help but look that this and think that I'm missing something.
Indeed TurboTax Self Employed will be able to handle your tax return including your T2125 form. The T2125 is sent to the CRA along with your other tax forms which makes up your T1 General return.
