The program does not accept our phone number - my husband and I both have the same number - one phone -?

TurboTax won’t allow you to input anything other than a Canadian or US phone number. If you have a phone number from another country, just don’t include it. The CRA will contact you by mail.

If you have a Canadian or US phone number, make sure you are only typing it in using numbers - no special characters or spaces. There should be total of 10 numbers. Ex: 1234567890

You may want to select and delete everything in each box before retyping, just in case there is a hidden space causing the problem. You can also leave the phone number space blank, as it is not a mandatory field.

The solution assumes users do not know what to type and does not recognize there could be a bug in the software. 
If I try to enter a new phone number in the main form (green numbers indicating is a calculate field), I get the dialog box asking me to click on OK to open the worksheet where the field comes from. When I do so, it opens the personal information worksheet, but the phone in it appears blank. I click on it and the filed never gets focus, I cannot see a cursor. If I try to type the numbers of my valid Canadian phone number the program does nothing. If I scroll down in the personal information worksheet, it shows my wife's old number, which I also need to change. In this case is blue (not green). If I try to type anything on her phone number the dialog comes informing me again the number comes from somewhere else and does not allow to change it.
