Hello,
My Dad had a major stroke last year. Due to his condition post stroke, I had no choice but to go with his Doctor's recommendations and put him in a long term care home in September.
Is the long term care home considered his permanent address for this tax return?
The address you enter is where the CRA is going to send any mail. So if you or someone else is handling your father's affairs, it may be better to enter that person's address. However, if your father is receiving other mail to his long term care home address, you can enter it.
Just make sure that the CRA has whichever address you use on file, before you try to NETFILE the return.
