Hi , I'm not able to netfile my wife's return (provinial Quebec ) due to the Releve 3 error (T5 Federal). I verified many times and all is correct. I was able to netfile the Federal Income tax with no issue. I've been using netfile for 20 years so I know this program pretty well. Is it a glitch ?
Make sure your RL3 box A11 & A12 are entered correctly and if the issue persists, please contact a TurboTax specialist who will be better able to assist you in correcting this issue or escalate to a higher level for resolution if needed.
There are no Box A11 or A12 on Relevé 3.
I am facing the same problem described by the other user: I am doing my and my wife's returns at the same time, which is what I always have done, using TurboTax. This time, I got the error: "Your taxable dividend does not equal your actual amount of eligible dividends multiply by 138% plus your actual amount of ordinary dividends multiply by 115% or you have a taxable dividend but no dividend tax credit." Despite the language, this message does not make sense because the amount involved is simple bank interest from a Canadian source.
Nevertheless, the CRA accepted both returns, but Revenu Quebec did not. I deleted the the Relevé 3/T5 info and re-entered it, then tried again. This time, my wife's return was accepted by Revenu Quebec, but not my own.
There is clearly an issue here with the program. I hope that someone will come back to me soon with a resolution. Thank you.
I am having the same issue with T5 & RL-3
did anyone solve the problem?
Were you able to get this issue fixed? I am having the same issue right now and cannot file my quebec taxes online.
Please contact our phone support team at 1-888-829-8608 as they will be better able to assist you.
If you are getting the error message
“Your taxable dividend does not equal your actual amount of eligible dividends multiply by 138% plus your actual amount of ordinary dividends multiply by 115% or you have a taxable dividend but no dividend tax credit.”
then your problem is probably caused by autofill (downloading your slips and relevés directly into TuboTax). I circumvented the problem by redoing my return and entering the slips and relevés manually.
Case A11 and A12 do not exist. I reentered the downloaded T5/R3 slips and even deleted the small dividende slip and I still get this error message about dividende not being 138% of declared dividende. The number are good on my slip. This is clearly a bug with TurbotTax.
I called the support number and got help that solved this specific filing problem. You have to look at all your slips T5 R3 R16 downloaded from the governments and delete all red items. Somehow the federal accept those red entries but not Québec. The problem is that the error message generated by TurboTax let you believe that your dividendes entries are not 115% or 138% the determined ones. It should rather suggest to eliminate the red entries or get Revenu Quebec to accept those like CRA does.
