My 12 year old grandson has mental health issues and I pay his tuition for a private school. he does not qualify for the Disability tax credit and he is not a dependent. Can i claim any tuition expenses?
You are only able to claim tuition for a private school if a medical practitioner gives you a letter stating that the child needs to attend a private school. Then you could claim the tuition as a medical expense on your income tax return.
