Bug with Tuition Transfer amount and number of dependant children
I have two children.
1. Son under 18 and
2. Daughter over 18 who is a university student
I should be able to claim number of dependent children as 1 (ON428 Line 74)
If I enter Tuition transfer amount for my daughter, the number of dependent children becomes zero
If I remove the Tuition transfer amount for my daughter, the number of dependent children becomes one
This is a serious bug and will impact claims! No?

Bug with Tuition Transfer amount and number of dependant children
I did call TurboTax support and they were able to help out with a workaround
For some reason we cannot transfer full 5000 (even if the university student income is zero) to a parent. If we transfer a smaller amount ~ 4800 (the workaround), the number of dependant children gets a correct count. The two values are independent of each other and shouldn't be related and so this is a bug
