No Tax Tools as of April 1?

I just got off the phone from an hour long call with IT, asking why I cannot import my 2023 desktop return onto the 2024 online platform.   Apparently the answer is they turned off this option on April 1!! Why on Earth would the company do that? I have been an avid supporter of Turbo Tax for years and cannot understand why ANY options to make life easier for customers would be turned OFF.  This is the only complaint dept i could find, so I'm posting here and anywhere i can find to state how dissatisfied I am.

No Tax Tools as of April 1?

The same thing happened to me. I spoke with 4 different agents. 1st one told me they had spoken with IT, and  were informed it was a glitch (april 10th) and that I would get an email once resolved. The 2nd time (april 11th), I was told it is impossible for them to reach out to IT, and that my 2024 tax was corrupt. They suggested I request à refund. I followed their link, uploaded the receipt etc. I received a "refund denied" email the following day, requesting that I start the refund process again. I followed up yesterday given I had not heard back.  This 3rd employee said they were looking into it, reaching out higher up and that  I was 12th in line.  I suddenly got disconnected. I called back, and was told there is no such thing, as reaching up., they have no way to track refund request. All in all, the customer service is inconsistant and gets nowhere.  Ot is very disapointing. I bought through costco.  It would definitely be nice if someone from turbo tac xould really help.

@Tweetyabc Did you already file your 2025 return with that same account? That would be the only reason why you wouldn't be able to go back to transfer your 2023 tax return into your 2024. When you start your 2024 tax return, it will ask what software you used last year—you will enter TurboTax Desktop. Continue, and then you will be asked to choose your file and upload, as seen in the screenshots below:

No Tax Tools as of April 1?

Thanks for your reply,

I did follow the process you just highlighted. As per the agent suggestion, I requested a refund [CLOUD version], after speaking with 2 agents, - both remotely accessing my computer and failing to upload my income tax (from last year).

I purchased a DESKTOP version on April 16th - after waiting a few days for a refund reply from Turbotax. I am still waiting for a reply as we speak.

Is there any way to get a status on the refund? ( CLOUD version).

Note: the 4th agent (April 30th), said  they couldn't access claim info.

It would be much appreciated if i could get a feedback on my refund status.

Kind regards

Can you please let us know if this was purchased directly from us or from a retailer? I see the one that was purchased on April 14th only. If it was purchased from a retailer and the form was completed for a refund, on the refund form, near the bottom, you can track your refund request.
